According to an article in The Times, more than a quarter of us suffer from “September sadness” – so thank goodness it’s October. The weight of world news and London’s consistent greyness have been conversation starters in most social situations of late, but despite it all, we’ve been as active and excited as ever. Entering October, we’re leaning into autumn and the upcoming festive season of openings, launches and celebrations.
Before we look back to the month before, two huge congratulations are in order. Firstly to Lyanness, who has made history as the first bar globally to receive the coveted 3 PIN status from The Pinnacle Guide - the equivalent of 3 Michelin stars in the bar industry - and secondly, to Hampton Manor, for receiving Two Michelin Keys, rated an exceptional stay.

INTRODUCING
Don’t Tell Dad
Don’t Tell Dad - a brand new neighbourhood bakery and restaurant opening its doors in Queen’s Park this December will bring bold plates and pastries to the local community and beyond. Created by Daniel Land, the original co-founder of Coco Di Mama, Don’t Tell Dad is a tribute to his late sister, Lesley. Daniel will be joined by a notable team, including Head Baker Keren Sternberg (formerly Layla) and Head Chef Luke Frankie (formerly Noble Rot, Forza Wine, Spring), offering sweet and savoury pastries by day, and creative dishes by night.
The Plimsoll
After all the fun we had launching Tollington’s fish bar earlier this summer, we are so thrilled to be working with the unstoppable force that is Four Legs, which includes everyone’s favourite north London pub, The Plimsoll. Although it needs no introduction, The Plimsoll is where you’ll find a regularly-changing menu of seasonal plates as well as most people’s burger of choice. After work pints, anyone?
Café Deco
Anna Tobias’ instant classic, Café Deco in Bloomsbury, joins our roster of perfect neighbourhood places. A firm favourite across the industry, Anna’s sublime style and committed approach to her cooking shine through the dining experience. Any visit will leave you feeling relaxed and satiated, knowing you’re in the hands of a capable, caring and joyful team. We also suggest you sign up to their recently launched newsletter.
